🌿 “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” There’s a lot of historical debate about the menehune. Whether they were the supernatural beings, little men, to first inhabit the Hawaiian Islands or are the still active spirits of the indigenous peoples conquered by the tahitians, it is unquestionable that the menehune are people of hard work. They are builders, architects and designers that are still sometimes interacted with today on the islands by the ‘oiwi or else unsuspecting visitors to their shores. The menehune are small but their hard work can literally move & build mountains, simply by placing one stone on top of another until their task is complete. This card in the oracle represents the need to get down to business, to throw yourself in 100% as a response to tough challenges. Hard work can only make good things, so when life gets difficult, it makes sense to put nose to the grindstone as hard as it may be. You will recognize the wisdom in this decision when you are reaping the benefits of your harvest. There is nowhere to go but up, so long as you are willing to work hard for it. #hapabruja
